At this point, it's safe to say that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) pretty much hates Kim Kardashian. The group is publicly attacking her again for wearing leather: a very expensive pair of python boots.

The reality star and her current beau, rapper Kanye West, are now in Paris for a little sightseeing and romance.

It was here that Kim showed off one of her latest acquisitions, a pair of thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots of python leather, which retail at a whopping $5,495 (€4,332.5).

PETA is very unhappy about it, Radar Online reports.

Buying a pair of these boots is impossible in California, since it's illegal to import and commercialize python here. It's also cruel to wear them, the animal rights group points out.

“They’d go well with a Dalmatian-fur coat, which is also illegal to sell in California and immoral to sell anywhere else,” Wendy Wegner, a spokesperson for PETA says in a statement to Radar.

Wegner is, of course, referring to the iconic Disney villain Cruella de Ville.

“According to the California Penal Code Section 653o it is unlawful to import python into California for commercial purposes, to possess with intent to sell, or sell within the state. However, it is not illegal to purchase python in another state and carry it over,” Radar notes.

This is not the first time that PETA picks on Kim for her love of leather and fur. In fact, she and Kanye have already “earned” the title of PETA's most hated couple, since they both share the same taste in fashion.

You might remember that, earlier this year, as she was walking the red carpet at one of her promo events, Kim was flour-bombed by a not so rogue PETA activist.

The group initially denied any association with the woman who covered Kim in flour almost from head to toe, but it did say that they believed the reality star had it coming.

“How much better it would be if she decided to evolve and enhance her image by donating her vulgar furs and exotic-animal skins to the homeless. The activist acted from the heart, something Kim doesn't seem to have,” PETA said, as we also informed you at the time.

“If anything, Kim should get a life, the very thing that she denies animals,” the group added.
