Logan Ward's parents are outraged, say the organization caused their son to be bullied

14-year-old Logan Ward from Louisiana has recently found out the hard way that going against the life principles of animal rights activists working with and supporting PETA is not exactly a joyride.

Not to beat about the bush, the teenager got picked on by both the organization and some of its supporters on account of his deciding to raffle off a cow.

Apparently, Logan Ward only wished to raffle off the animal so that he might raise the money he needed in order to travel to Ireland and Britain.

Despite his never saying that the cow would be killed and turned into beef once it found a new owner, PETA saw fit to send him an e-mail asking the teenager that he rethink his plans to give the animal away in exchange for money.

According to Daily Mail, PETA's e-mail to Logan Ward read as follows: “'Call me crazy, but it just seems a little strange to me that you feel that someone needs to die in order for you to go on a school trip. Know what I mean?”

“Would you consider allowing me to work with you to move the cow to a reputable sanctuary where he or she can live out the rest of his or her days freely (as nature intended)?”

“In return, I'd like to work with you directly on your fundraising efforts by helping you raise money in a way that doesn't cost someone their life. One idea I’d like to suggest would be a veggie dog sale in your community hosted by PETA's bikini-clad Lettuce Ladies.”

The boy also got a link to a website that showed several pictures of PETA's lettuce ladies.

As previously reported, these ladies are quite convinced that their wearing nothing but lettuce leaves can help persuade people to become vegetarians, hence their wearing such outfits in public on a fairly regular basis.

Logan's parents were outraged, not only because their son could hardly be accused of animal cruelty, but also because the pictures on the website that PETA had sent him were inappropriate.

Furthermore, it appears that several PETA supporters took it to themselves to cyber-bully Logan by sending him messages saying that he was heartless and had no morals.

PETA has apologized for the incident, and claims that the teenager's receiving said e-mail was merely a mistake made by one of their members.
