The ladies held up banners saying that “Green Means Vegan”

PETA is anything but willing to miss an opportunity to raise awareness with respect to how being a vegetarian is not just about being healthy, but also about safeguarding the environment and treating animals with the respect they deserve.

Hence, the organization's crashing this year's St. Patrick's Day in Boston.

As one can easily notice in the picture above, PETA is well aware of the fact that, should anyone wish to draw the crowds' attention, then having a bunch of ladies dressed in lettuce walk up and down the street is probably the best option.

The banners held up by PETA's so-called lettuce ladies read as follows: “Green Means Vegan.”

There is little doubt that the ladies did get significant amounts of attention from the people standing on the sidewalk.

However, odds are few (if any) of these people are now carefully considering the possibility of embracing a vegetarian diet.
