i-mate, the producer specialized in Windows Mobile devices and applications has announced the launch of their latest Pocket PC, called the i-mate PDA-N.

The i-mate PDA-N presents itself in metal-grey colours, revealing a 64k colour touch screen and hides underneath a 300 Mhz processor and 128 MB of ROM, expandable through the SDIO/MMC card slot. Having a close relationship with Microsoft, i-mate managed to equip the PDA with a wide range of software applications like Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger, Word Mobile, Excel Mobile and Powerpoint Mobile, which run on Windows Mobile 5.0. Other features include support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but the key feature of i-mat PDA-N is the GPS navigation capability, which may sound a little strange since mapping software is not included with the software.

Jim Morrison, CEO of i-mate states: "We're proud to add another impressive addition to our Pocket PC family. GPS has emerged as a key customer requirement so we're happy to offer it built into a sleek looking powerful Windows Mobile-based PDA. Watch this space. We have no plans to slow down."
