14 DAY TRIAL // Madonna held her annual post-Oscars party at her manager Guy Oseary’s mansion and, besides making headlines for wearing 1,000 carats of diamonds, she’s also getting some media attention for being the most amazing ex-wife in the world.
According to reports, one of the couples in attendance at the bash was that made of Charlize Theron and Sean Penn. Sean, in case you don’t know, was Madonna’s first husband: they were married between 1985 and 1989 amid allegations of violent episodes and some abuse.
The two have been linked romantically again in the following years, including just recently, before he was spotted out and about with Charlize. While we might never get to the bottom of these reports, one thing is certain: Madonna and Sean have remained friends after what was initially a rather nasty divorce.
According to Us Weekly, they are still on very good terms, as she invited him to her fancy post-Oscars bash and he came with Charlize, his new girlfriend, on his arm.
Sean and Charlize, who are still to walk the red carpet together as a couple, were “all over each other” on the dancefloor and “making out like crazy” at the party.
“They were the talk of the party – even Madonna noticed!” an insider tells the publication.
All other celebrity guests noticed the passionate display of affection, including Miley Cyrus, who is Madonna’s new best friend after a string of appearances together, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden, and John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston.
Even Madonna’s teenage kids were in attendance, the spy reveals.
The Queen of Pop, on her part, made sure she and everyone else had the best time of their life, going from table to table and asking them to join her on the dancefloor whenever she noticed things were too slow for her taste.
As noted above, for this exclusive event, the singer was decked in diamonds worth an estimated $20 million (€14.5 million), all on loan from jeweler Neil Lane. Security was very tight at the event, as all A-list guests had been promised no paparazzi would ruin their night by snapping photos of them at the party.
Word has it that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are thinking about tying the knot “soon,” as the passionate romance has made her change her opinion of marriage. If the report above is accurate, at least we know that they’re very much smitten, so much so that they can’t keep their hands off each other even at public functions.
