The pressure is too much for her even to consider the gig, says comedienne

One of the jokes at the Oscars 2013 was that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler should have hosted instead of Seth MacFarlane and, obviously, it immediately prompted talk of whether both or at least one of them could be tempted to consider the possibility for next year.

Tina is definitely not and she says so when asked directly by the Huffington Post.

Mike Ryan of HuffPo thinks that Tina could be prevented from hosting because, unlike the Golden Globes which aired on NBC (and she hosted with Amy), her home network, the Oscars are ABC’s.

That’s not the case, she says. She could host if she wanted, but she doesn’t.

“No, you can [host]. But I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman – the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone... no way,” she jokes.

A disappointed Ryan says he was hoping for “one chance in a million” or something that would give him some hope. “I wish I could tell you there was,” Tina adds.
