14 DAY TRIAL // Orange UK is one of the wireless carriers that unveiled specific data plans tailored to fit the needs of its customers interested in the purchase of an Apple iPad not too long ago. Today, the company announced the availability of these plans and of the iPad on its airwaves.
Three iPad with WiFi + 3G models were added to the wireless carrier's offering, depending on the internal memory the device sports, namely 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Moreover, Orange announced that both pay monthly plans for its users, as well as iPad only options were put in place on its network. We should also note that the pay monthly deals would differ slightly for new customers when compared to those for existing Orange users.
For example, the wireless carrier offers 1GB anytime, 1GB quiet time + unlimited BT Openzone WiFi and the iPad 16GB at £199 on 24 months contracts for only £25 per month for existing customers, and for £27 per month for new customers.
The same monthly plans and costs are in place for the 32GB model, though it would cost £249, while the 64GB model was made available for £349 on the same offering.
“Start surfing on your iPad with a plan from Orange. Get online whenever you like with an allowance of 1GB anytime and 1GB quiet time from midnight until 4pm,” the company notes.
In case there are some who would like to purchase the device without the monthly plan, they would have a 5p per MB capped at £40 per month option in place at Orange, with the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPad models priced at £529.00, £599.00 and £699.00, respectively.
“With our iPad only plan, you only pay for what you use - and you'll never pay more than £40 a month however long you spend online,” the wireless carrier notes on its website. Additional info on the plans Orange put in place for its iPad users can be found here.
