Orange Business Services announced its managed mobile push email solution for multinationals. The solution adds to Orange Business Services' existing portfolio of mobile push email offers, especially Orange Mail Enterprise Service announced in June 2006 and designed for the Small and Medium business market.

The solution enables automatic synchronization between mobile devices and data stored in a company's email server. New emails, calendar appointments and contact details are automatically sent to the mobile user's device, and updates made on the mobile device are automatically reflected on the user's PC.

The global service is based on Intellisync Mobile Suite from Nokia. It supports secure mobile data delivery for business applications on a wide range of mobile devices and is capable of scaling to support thousands of users worldwide.

"Our multinational customers are using a variety of devices and messaging infrastructure, so we were seeking a truly open and future-proof mobile platform to address their various requirements," said Guillaume Freyburger, enterprise mobility product manager at Orange Business Services.

The mobile push email solution supports Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, SMTP and IMAP/POP3 servers and it works on a variety of operating systems, including Windows Mobile, Symbian OS and Palm OS.

"Looking forward, the platform's sophisticated capabilities will enable us to mobilize other business critical applications in addition to mail, as well as effectively manage mobile devices fleets, providing cost savings and reducing total cost of ownership for our multinational customers," said Freyburger.
