One of the latest applications available for Nokia handsets is OpenTable for Nokia, a software solution that just made it to the Ovi Store. In addition to announcing the availability of the app via Nokia's software portal, OpenTable also unveiled the fact that it comes with support for Symbian S60 5.0 touch devices, enabling a wider range of users than before to easily book a restaurant table straight from their Nokia mobile phone.

Among the features that OpenTable for Nokia comes with, we can count: Search for restaurants by name - Find nearby restaurants and see real-time table availability - View restaurant profile pages with detailed information such as photos, menus, maps and OpenTable diner reviews - Refine by cuisine, price, points and availability - Earn 1,000 Dining Points on eligible dining times - Send Reservation details via SMS to friends.

With the new software solution, Nokia phone owners will find it easy to search for restaurants near their location, to check on the availability of a table and book it. Moreover, the application will also allow them to refine the search result based on various preferences, or to read reviews by recent OpenTable diners on restaurants.

“We are pleased to announce that OpenTable for Nokia is now available on Ovi Store by Nokia, allowing diners to reserve tables instantly and for free at thousands of restaurants in the UK, US, Canada, and Mexico,” OpenTable states on its blog. “OpenTable for Nokia is available for Symbian S60 5.0 touch device users residing in the UK, US, Canada and Mexico. Users of non-touch Nokia devices such as the Nokia E72 will be able to download the app in the coming weeks,” the company continues.

OpenTable for Nokia is the latest flavor of the application the company pushes to the market. Its software solution is already available in versions for popular smartphone operating systems out there, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Palm.
