14 DAY TRIAL // Oksana Grigorieva’s music career is on hold and, for the past few months, the only media she’s been getting is for her disastrous relationship with Mel Gibson. Luckily, Playboy is here to help.
The famous men’s magazine, which has quite a tradition of paying celebrities for pictorials, has offered the aspiring pop singer, whose debut album flopped miserably, $75,000 to appear in one of the upcoming numbers.
Aside from the photospread, for this kind of money, Oksana would also be offered the cover, which is no small feat considering how she can’t seem to get publicity for anything not related to Mel Gibson, TMZ says.
Then again, considering that JWoww of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” was at one point rumored to be negotiating for $400,000, Oksana wouldn’t make that much money from the spread.
“Sources close to the offer tell us Playboy is willing to fork over a cool $75,000 for her trouble – and to sweeten the deal, they’re even willing to give Oksana the cover... a pretty enticing move for a struggling musician looking for some non-Mel publicity,” TMZ says.
The e-zine also speculates that Oksana may also accept the offer because she’s over her head in legal bills that she can’t possibly pay – especially since she incurred them by taking her main provider – Gibson – to court.
In a later post, though, TMZ also says that it got word from one of Grigorieva’s representatives, saying there’s no way in hell she would even consider such an offer – in more or less words.
Not now, not ever, nor for any amount of money, would our client, Oksana Grigorieva, even consider any offer to pose for Playboy,” Steve Jaffe says in a statement for the aforementioned media outlet.
“Someone might have sent an email to one of her representatives but that’s not news,” Jaffe further says in the same statement.
Earlier this month, Oksana was also rumored to be about to start taping an interview with the Queen of Television herself, Oprah Winfrey, one that would presumably help her launch her music career, while also rubbishing reports of leeching off Mel Gibson and being after his money.
The interview never happened.
