Actor’s ex was never supposed to talk about their romance but she did it anyway

The other day, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, more famous for dating Mel Gibson and having his child than for her music career, filed for bankruptcy even though she’d gotten $750,000 (€545,692) as part of a custody settlement. New details note that she lost a good chunk of that sum by violating a confidentiality agreement that came with the money.

In other words, as TMZ notes, she was never supposed to talk about Mel Gibson, or their time together and even less about their nasty breakup and the raging phone messages the star left her after she had decided to break up.

She wasn’t even supposed to mention Mel’s name or talk about their relationship in an indirect fashion. Still, this is precisely what Oksana did when she sat down for a full interview with Howard Stern last October.

You can hear it in full here on YouTube but *please note that some discretion is recommended before pressing play because of language that might offend.

At the time, Oksana was still trying to get people to pay attention to her music efforts but, for the most part of the interview, she talked about Mel.

She called the experience of their breakup a “painful and dark” one that inspired her to try and help others who might be in the same situation, and said that the memory of it all was still too painful for her to answer Stern’s question on whether Mel had wined and dined her.

She also thanked him when he told her he sympathized with her for the way she was treated by the Hollywood star.

According to the aforementioned media outlet, all this was in direct violation of her confidentiality agreement with Gibson, which she signed in order to get the money.

“That was enough for a judge, because court sources tell us, hizzoner ruled Oksana was never supposed to talk about Mel – even obtusely – and as a result she forfeited the remaining installments of her $750,000 [€545,692] settlement. We're told she was still owed half – $375,000 [€272,846]... money she now will NOT get,” TMZ writes.

In court documents filed earlier this week, Oksana claimed she had about $10 (€7.28) to her name and was over $250,000 (€181,897) in debt to 5 of the 40 attorneys who represented her during the custody battle with Gibson.
