After several leaked images of Palm Centro, we finally see one that looks quite official. The time for this smartphone to see a release is approaching, as the official photos are among the last thing to take care of in a handset's launch. There are high chances of actually seeing it in an official launch in the near future.

The handset also features a Sprint logo, which makes it clear that this company will be the one to bring it out on the US market. Rumor has it that this will happen for a fairly low price, one more reason to make those interested by this device go and get one as soon as it becomes available.

Palm Centro is not the most evolved smartphone out there, but can very well bring the basic performances that people might expect seeing from this type of a device. The phone is mainly targeted towards the younger audience, one that needs a cool-looking device also capable of taking care of the entertainment and practical needs.

Specifications for this device are still unofficial, but make the device sound quite reliable. It is supposed to come in the compact sizes of 117 x 65 x 13.8 mm, which makes it one of the smallest Palm smartphones out there. It will have a 2.4 inch QVGA display and will also be capable of providing 3G and HSDPA performances. That, along with the 256 MB of onboard storage, 64 MB of RAM and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, will make Palm Centro one highly reliable device for handling most of the user's communication needs.

Palm Centro will be launched at Sprint on a 90-days exclusivity, although the exact date when this event will take place has not been revealed yet. The great thing about this release is that the smartphone will come at the small price of USD 100, which will make it quite affordable for anyone. The phone will run on Sprint's EVDO network, a piece of information that seems to be pretty official.
