Video game publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced that it will be launching a new version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion this June in order to celebrate the fact that the game is now five years old.

The 5th Anniversary Edition of the action and role-playing game mix will include the initial launch of Oblivion, the first and second expansions, Knights of the Nine and the superior Shivering Isles, a collector's steelbook to keep them all, a special documentary which talks about the way the game was created, a full color map of the Cyrodiil area and of the Shivering Isles.

The five-year package is already pretty impressive, but Bethesda is ready to sweeten the deal even more by allowing those who pick up the new bundle to get 10 dollars off when they pick up The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during the fall and to get the strategy guide for free.

The launch of the 5th Anniversary Edition is slated for June 28 and it will be offered on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the PC for the price of 30 dollars.

Oblivion was a great game when it was released and since then a lot of modders have kept the game relevant, tweaking everything from core gameplay concepts to the looks of the game, and the new bundle is the perfect platform on which to install mods.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will use a brand new game engine and will move the action tot the North, with the main character able to learn Shouts from Dragons and expected to, once again, make sure that the end of the world does not take place.

Skyrim already has the launch date set in stone for November 1 of this year and will arrive on the same main three platforms.
