Eliminating restrictions of traditional network-based voicemail

Android G1 mobile phone users now have the opportunity to enjoy yet another service that has been designed especially for them, the NowMessage free voicemail service coming from Common Voices, a leader in IP voicemail systems. While traditional network-based voicemails came with restrictions, the new NowMessage removes them, while also enhancing the e-mail and display capabilities of G1 smartphones working on T-Mobile's network.

The new voicemail service enables users to view and hear their voice messages directly on the mobile phone, a move that results in a voice mailbox that is never full, while the messages are protected due to the fact that NowMessage.com sends them on the device.

“I love my G1 phone, but I was disappointed to learn that the voicemail was not integrated with my e-mail account. I signed up for NowMessage.com after reading about it on the web, and it is exactly the right tool for the job. I had tried other services in the past, and they didn’t work, were too expensive or were too complicated to use. NowMessage strikes the right balance—it gives me my voice mail in my e-mail, just the way I want it,” said Chance Justin Korte, president/CEO of ZIONTEL.

NowMessage integrates with the phone’s core functionality, accessing the ability to display and play new or saved voicemail messages on the Android G1 handset, while the dial-up of a traditional voicemail system has been excluded. In addition, due to the fact that all messages are presented via Gmail, users will be able to forward, archive or reply to them as they would with emails.

According to Common Voices, the new service works with any e-mail account. In addition, it can also notify users on missed calls in case the phone goes out of range or is powered off. Not to mention that subscribers won't spend wireless voice minutes while listening to voice messages, given the fact that they will arrive in e-mail over the data network. Those who would like to sign up for the service can do so by accessing the NowMessage website.
