The new MiFi 2372 also comes with a powerful application processor that can offer both rich software applications and media. It comes with internal storage, complemented by a microSD memory card slot that can offer support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, as well as with on-board GPS capabilities, which enable it to run different location-based apps.

The MiFi 2372 proves to be a flexible platform for the future development of mobile broadband. It offer users the possibility to turn a Wi-Fi device into a mobile Internet device, while IT managers will be able to secure control and manage broadband connections better. According to Novatel, developers can enhance the embedded processing capabilities of MiFi, as the software interfaces have been opened to third-party application development. Both the programming interfaces and programmer guide can be downloaded from the company's site here.

“We are very pleased to announce the continued evolution of the MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot product line,” said Peter Leparulo, chairman and CEO of Novatel Wireless. “The availability of the MiFi 2372 HSPA will significantly expand the addressable market for MiFi technology, as well as offering users unrivaled high speed access to multiple devices virtually anywhere they go around the globe.”
