Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless announced on Friday that the PC770 2-in-1 PC Card and Express Card would become available online on its website starting tomorrow, while also expected to come to its stores in the country starting August 2. The new product has been developed by Novatel Wireless, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, and is meant to offer Verizon Wireless' customers access to email, corporate data and Internet through the carrier's Mobile Broadband service.

The key features that the new PC770 comes to the market with include compatibility with Verizon Wireless' high-speed network, with support for Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A) technology, the inclusion of NovaSpeed technology, meant to deliver high-speed downloads and uploads, the VZAccess Manager software that provides easy connection management and automatic installation, as well as an adapter so that it can be used with an ExpressCard or a PC peripheral interface slot, while also offering compatibility with both PCs and Mac devices.

According to the mobile phone operator, the new PC770 2-in-1 PC Card and Express Card not only delivers high-speed mobile broadband connectivity to access the Internet or e-mail while on the go, but it also comes with a series of lifestyle features, among which we can count:

Ideal for individuals and organizations making the transition from PC Cards to the newer ExpressCard format; Addresses the flexibility that enterprise customers require in their mobile broadband solutions.

The Verizon Wireless Communications Stores are expected to receive the new PC770 on August 2. The card features a price tag of $99.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier and after a $50 mail-in rebate. The rebate would be received in the form of a debit card, Verizon announced. More details on the new PC770 can be found on the Verizon Wireless website.
