Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has already launched a series of highly appealing handsets running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system, and it seems that it is gearing up for the release of yet another great device, packing an Aluminum body.

No specific info on when the smartphone will arrive on shelves has been provided as of now, but it seems Nokia has already showed the device to a lucky few, and that it will indeed be impressive.

According to Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review, Nokia has demoed the smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona to several people.

The handset will be the company’s next flagship Lumia phone, packing a great aluminum body and offering an impressive overall experience.

Furthermore, he told W7phone.ru that this smartphone would be the most popular in the lineup this year.

The smartphone will run under Windows Phone 8, or one of the upcoming new versions of the platform, something that not all people will see as a successful feature, it seems.

The upcoming mobile phone is expected to generate a lot of buzz, just as the Lumia 920 did, yet sales might not be as great in the end, Eldar Murtazin also claims.

According to WMPoweruser, however, although the handset might not sell very well when compared to flagship smartphones from other companies, it would still help the entire ecosystem.

This happened with the Windows Phone 8-based Lumia devices in the fourth quarter of the last year, when Nokia managed to sell 4.4 million Lumia units, although the WP8 smartphones had been brought to shelves only in November.

Coupled with a new flavor of the Windows Phone 8 platform, one that would add some more functionality to devices, the upcoming Nokia device might actually be successful enough to help the OS.

Not to mention that this is only one of the new smartphones that Nokia is expected to bring to the market this year, as it has already been rumored to plan the release of new high-end handsets on the networks of AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon in the United States.
