Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has just launched two new Symbian-powered mobile phone on the market in China, the Nokia T7-00 and 702T, both of them with TD-SCDMA (Chinese 3G) connectivity on board. The Nokia T7-00 was spotted into the wild before, with looks that resemble the Nokia N8, but with lower specifications than the high-end device.

The handset comes with an 8 megapixel EDoF camera, as well as with a clear black display, but still includes the Aluminum casing, with integral battery, just as the N8 does.

As for the Nokia 702T, it comes to the market as a China-specific flavor of Nokia E6.

Both new mobile phones run under the latest Symbian version, namely Anna, and are expected to become available for purchase on the local market sometime during the third quarter of the ongoing year.

“Today's announcement from Nokia of two handsets for the Chinese TD-SCDMA confirms the importance the Chinese market to Nokia and its commitment to support TD- SCDMA,” Colin Giles, Nokia's EVP of Worldwide Sales, said, a recent article on App About Symbian reads.

“We are very pleased to continue to work with China Mobile and the introduction of the new flagship models provides TD-SCDMA users a greater degree of choice.” The Nokia T7-00 will be released as a flagship TD-SCDMA model, with a 3.5 inch clear black display touchscreen that can deliver a 640 x 360 pixels resolution, and with handwriting, on screen QWERTY and on screen ITU (12-key) text input capabilities.

On the back, it would sport the aforementioned 8 megapixel EDoF photo snapper, with 720p video capture capabilities.

The same as Nokia 702T, the N8 will arrive on shelves with Nokia's mapping and messaging services pre-loaded, as well as with access to China Mobile's flying letters, phone security, mobile video, reader, and navigation services.

The Nokia 702T features a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen form factor, with a 2.46 inch display on the front, with a 640 x 480 pixels resolution, and an 8MP EDoF camera with dual LED flash on the back, also with 720p video capture capabilities.
