Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is gearing up for the release of their first handset running under Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system, but no specific info on what it has in store for its users has emerged so far.

What we are all waiting to see from the company is a Windows Phone device that will top all competition, and which will prove that the company can still create impressive hardware.

However, until more on what Nokia actually has in store for customers emerges, we can have a look at what enthusiasts would like to see being launched from the company.

The latest concept device that we can dream of is the Nokia W97, which comes from Deviantart member sidrocks (via concept-phones).

No specific info on what the concept's creator would have wanted it to pack is known for the time being, but we can always imagine that it might include features other devices would, along with some extra.

Since Nokia will launch handsets powered by Windows Phone Mango, this concept device would certainly run under this platform release as well.

Moreover, it would pack a sliding design, reminding us of the Nokia N900, with a 5 row QWERTY keyboard for fast typing, and a large touchscreen display, that might very well be a 4.3-inch panel.

In addition to the usual set of three buttons that Windows Phone devices include, the Nokia W97 concept also sports answer/reject keys, as many Nokia smartphones do.

The concept device will certainly make a lot of enthusiasts hope that Nokia might actually release such a device on shelves in the not-too-distant future, though there's no telling on whether that will indeed happen or not.

Although nothing was unveiled on the upcoming devices, Nokia did promise that its Windows Phones will arrive in 2011, and more info on them should emerge soon, so stay tuned for more.
