Nokia has recently announced, in a rather interesting manner that it plans to unveil something new on Wednesday, March 11. The announcement has been made via events.nokia, and we know for sure at the moment that it is about a music-oriented product, although no other details have been unveiled until now.

From what we've seen on the Finnish mobile phone maker's site, there will be a web event, as the announcement says that it will take place on the site, but does not give any specific details as to whether it will be a new mobile phone or a new service that awaits to be launched on that date.

All that the company says there is “Your Music Player Is Ringing,” which might very well suggest that we will see a new music-oriented handset unveiled to the world. On the other hand, the Finnish giant might also plan to announce a new service for its users, one that would probably have a connection with the already popular Comes With Music service that the company already launched on a wide range of markets around the world.

For what it's worth, the fact that no specific details have been unveiled leaves enough room for rumors around the announced event. When it comes to the idea of a new phone that would be announced, it could be ruled out by the fact that the company has recently unveiled its latest music-oriented 5630 XpressMusic device that runs under the Symbian S60 platform, the second such handset after the highly popular Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone.

As 5630 XpressMusic only surfaced about a month ago, it is rather unlikely for Nokia to come with another similar device, but there isn’t any certainty that things won't go this way. We'll still have two days to wait to see whether the company will launch a new handset or a service or, who knows, maybe both.
