It seems that the high-end Nokia N97 is set to soon become available for purchase on a wide variety of markets around the world. After announcing that the phone was available for pre-order in a small number of markets not long ago, the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia now says that the device can be ordered in advance in the UK as well.

The pre-order price tag of Nokia N97 has been set at £499 (inc VAT), with no contract agreement required, and can be seen at Nokia Online Shop. As many of you might already know, the Nokia UK Online Shop is the first one to receive the UK variants of the Nokia devices, which means that the phone will come to other retailers as well in the near future.

There are no exact details on the shipping date of the Nokia N97 available at the moment, yet the device can be seen on the manufacturer's site in both the Black and the White variants. According to the news, mobile phone users in the UK who pre-order the handset from the Nokia Online Shop will receive their Nokia N97 before the phone goes on sale in the country via the company's flagship stores, which will also happen most probably a week before it becomes available for purchase with the wireless operators in the country.

The S60-powered mobile phone, which is the first one to come with the Ovi Store included in its firmware, is expected to become available for purchase sometime in the second half of June, though the Finnish company announced that it would start shipping it only in July. It seems that the handset will see different launch dates, depending on the market in which is should start selling. Users in the UK who would like to pre-order the Nokia N97 can find the Black variant available here, while the White version can be seen here.
