Three is the first UK-based carrier to offer the Nokia Lumia 800 in Cyan, which happened about two weeks ago. It appears that Orange is the next carrier to offer the Cyan flavor of the Lumia 800.

The carrier confirmed for SoMobile that the smartphone is in stock and all orders will be fulfilled while stock lasts. Just like the Black version, the Cyan variant is available for free on 24 month plans from £36 (55 USD or 42 EUR).

The magenta version of Lumia 800 will be available in early 2012 with most UK-based carriers offering the new flavor around the same time.

The Lumia 800 is Nokia’s new flagship smartphone replacing the Nokia N8, and the N9 to some extent. Touted ‘the first real Windows Phone handset,’ Nokia Lumia 800 operates Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system.

In fact this is one the main reasons that the Lumia 800 was so popular even before it hit shelves. To make it even more appealing Nokia gave it the same design as the N9, which was so praised by both customers and media.

The phone comes with a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display based on its ClearBlack technology, which boasts 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors support.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.4 GHz single core processor, an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit, 16GB onboard memory and 512 MB of RAM.

According to Nokia, the phone’s 1450 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide up to 265 hours of standby time (335 hours in 3G mode) or up to 13 hours of talk time (9 hours and 30 minutes in 3G mode).

However, the first Lumia 800 owners reported short battery life due to an unknown bug. It appears that Nokia is about to correct this issue with the latest software update that has just been announced earlier today.
