Finnish handset maker Nokia has just announced that Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 will hit shelves in Singapore on April 6, along with various accessories.

According to UnleashThePhones, Nokia Lumia 520 will be available for purchase for only $225/€175, while the Lumia 720 will cost $385/€300 outright.

The smartphones have just been introduced in India, but they won’t be available until later this month. This puts customers in Singapore among the first to be able to grab the Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 Windows Phone handsets.

We don’t have any details on what carriers will offer the smartphones in Singapore, but we can safely assume they will be up for grabs at all major retailers across the country.

The handsets will ship with the latest version of Windows Phone 8, as well as decent enough 1GHz dual-core processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit.

Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 packs only 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, but owners will be able to further expand it up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

One of the few differences between the two smartphones is the fact that Lumia 520 sports a 4-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display, whereas the Lumia 720 comes with a slightly larger 4.3-inch IPS ClearBlack display.

In addition, Nokia Lumia 720 boasts an enhanced 6.7-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, while the Lumia 520 comes with a 5-megapixel main camera that lacks LED flash.

Last but not least, the Lumia 520 is powered by a removable 1430 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 15 hours talk time and 360 hours of standby time.

In comparison, Nokia Lumia 720 comes packed with a much better 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery (non-removable) that should provide up to 520 hours of standby time or up to 23 hours of talk time (13 hours in 3G mode).
