One of the hottest smartphones in India, the Lumia 520 was officially introduced in the country last week, but customers could only pre-order the device.

However, it appears that Indian retailer Snapdeal is the first to offer customers the possibility to purchase the Nokia Lumia 520. The phone is available for only Rs 10,390 ($190/€150) outright.

You may be wondering why it is that Snapdeal has managed to put the Lumia 520 on sale before other Indian retailers such as Flipkart, Saholic and Infibeam.

Well, as a matter of fact, it didn’t and the fact that the device is now listed on its site is only a marketing move. Potential customers should know that ordering the Lumia 520 via Snapdeal will not get you the smartphone in the next few days.

Those who purchase the Nokia Lumia 520 will receive their devices in the coming weeks, as the retailer states that all orders will be dispatched in no less than 15 business days. That’s at least three weeks from now.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling when exactly the other Indian retailers will put the phone on sale, so those who want to risk to order the phone via Snapdeal now, can do so here.

The Lumia 520 will be the cheapest Nokia device powered by Windows Phone 8 when it arrives on the market. Until then, the Lumia 620 remains the cheapest WP8-based smartphone.

Nokia Lumia 520 comes equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, an Adreno 305 GPU and 512MB of RAM.

The phone packs 8GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card, as well as a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and video recording.

It also sports a decent 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and features scratch-resistant glass coating.
