The popular Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone has just seen another firmware update coming out its way, v21.0.025, which was previously reported to come to users in Asia, and which is now available for other markets as well. This is only a minor firmware upgrade, yet an upgrade nevertheless, and it comes in a 4MB package, which can be easily downloaded as an over-the-air upgrade.

Among the improvements and fixes that the new firmware v21.0.025 is said to deliver to users we can count a number of interface speed enhancements, along with numerous bug fixes, such as the text entry on some web pages that prevented users from moving back or forth in the text, and there is also a new 'breathing light' setting/control.

The text entry bug fix mentioned above now offers users the possibility to edit large texts in the browser, which means that they won't have to type only at the end, as it happened before, but within the text as well, allowing them to move around what they have written just as they were supposed to. At the same time, there are also cut and paste features now available within the web browser, which should make a lot of users rejoice.

One thing that was expected to come with the new version is an improved camera performance, yet there are no details on whether the feature has been included or not in the update. Those who would like to check to see if the firmware is available for their devices only need to type in '*#0000#' into the virtual keypad and then 'Check for updates'.

Another thing that should be mentioned is that the modern S60 devices come with a User Data Preservation feature, which is meant to keep all of user's files and settings just the way there were before performing an update, yet backing up data and personal information could prove more than useful sometimes, and those willing to upgrade should make this move, just in case anything goes wrong.
