Branded as "SmartMail"

Nokia just announced that Telenor Pakistan, one of the leading mobile operators in Pakistan, will offer from now on the Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solution to personal users, small to medium enterprises and large corporations. The Nokia service is branded by Telenor Pakistan as "SmartMail" and is available as of today.

Since March 2005, when Telenor Pakistan started its mobile operations, the company reached a top position in the competitive mobile market of Pakistan, where there are six major mobile operators for a population of more than 160 million. The mobile penetration rate reached about 43 percent in August this year, according to PTA (Pakistan Telecommunications Authority), which means there are about 70 million mobile subscribers in the country. Telenor Pakistan currently owns the largest and the fastest growing EDGE-based mobile data network and the Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solution will probably make its subscribers base larger.
