As many of you might already know, there have been a lot of rumors floating around the launch of Nokia E71 on the US AT&T network. According to the latest news on the Web, it seems that we'll be able to see the device added to the carrier's offering as soon as April 1st, at least this is what a leak of one of the retailer's stock sheets suggests.

The unlocked edition of the Nokia E71 mobile phone is already available for purchase in the country, ever since last summer, but this time we're talking a new edition, one developed specifically for the operator's network.

Not too long ago, the device was reported to come to the AT&T lineup featuring the Symbian S60 Feature Pack 2 platform, and not FP1, as originally expected. At the same time, it seems that there will also be other improvements, along with a series of tweaks, yet no official word on the exact specs of the AT&T version of the device has been released and not even the launch date is certain.

As for the specification list of the Nokia E71, it includes a QWERTY keyboard, a screen able to provide a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS/A-GPS capabilities, an entire series of productivity-tuned software solutions, as well as a 1500 mAh battery.

And since there are Euro-3G and North American-3G versions, with the only difference between them being the type of mobile broadband frequencies supported, the Nokia E71 variant that will come to AT&T will provide users with support for the carrier's bands.

For the time being, there is no specific information on what price tag Nokia E71 will feature on AT&T, yet, since the unlocked version retails for $400 at the moment, the handset is expected to cost far less, especially with a contract.
