Nokia E7, the business-grade Symbian^3 smartphone that mobile phone maker Nokia introduced in September last year, is now available for purchase in the United States via Amazon for $649, and is reportedly in stock.

The new mobile phone was put on pre-order at the giant retailer back in December with a price tag of $679 attached to it, which was also the initial cost at which it was made available for acquisition.

However, it seems that the company decided to take $30 off the smartphone, thus making it available for less than what Nokia themselves ask for it through their online store.

The Nokia E7 is being sold through Amazon unlocked and with support for quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 frequencies and with US/International 3G compatibility via 850/900/1700/1900/2100 UMTS/HSDPA plus GPRS/EDGE capabilities.

The handset comes with a large 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display on board, which can deliver a nHD (640 x 360 pixels) resolution, complemented by a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.

It is the latest Symbian^3 smartphone Nokia launched on shelves, and also the first such handset to have been included in the company's Eseries of devices.

The smartphone includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD 720p video capture capabilities, and can also provide HD content playback, complemented by HDMI output for viewing videos and photos on larger screens.

The Nokia E7 comes to the market with 16 GB of internal memory, along with Wireless-N Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 capabilities, corporate e-mail capabilities, and a BL-4D 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that can offer up to 5 hours of talk time, up to 480 hours (20 days) of standby time. The mobile phone measures 4.8 x 2.45 x 0.53 mm and weighs in at 6.2 Oz. It sports Orientation sensor (Accelerometer), Compass (Magnetometer), Proximity sensor, Ambient light detector, Qt 4.6.2, Web Runtime 7.2, Ovi Maps with free GPS navigation, and support for a wide range of applications available for download via Ovi Store.

Users interested in the purchase of a Nokia E7 would find it listed at Amazon here, or at Nokia here.
