Nokia's Eseries of business smartphones is about to receive another handset, which is supposed to refresh the manufacturer's lineup and make it more appealing.

Nokia E6-00 has just been leaked and pictured for the second time and seems to be an improvement for the Eseries standard line.

The E6-00 was first caught on camera one month ago, but the handset didn't receive a warm reaction at that time, as it had the same QWERTY bar form factor as its E71 and E72 predecessors.

However, it seems that Nokia's engineers have redesigned the old unannounced E6-00 and turned it into something more stylish.

Even though it's the successor of Nokia E72, the E6-00 features a touchscreen display and runs on the Symbian^3 mobile platform.

The portrait QWERTY keyboard has kept the same layout specific to Eseries smartphones, but the phone is expected to come with four home screens instead of the usual three panes that have been seen on other smartphones such as Nokia N8, C7 and E7.

It would be interesting to find out how the widgets will be displayed on such an usual touchscreen, as this seems to be the first portrait QWERTY smartphone to run on the updated Symbian^3 platform.

Previous rumors suggested that the E6-00 might be announced and showcased during the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but Nokia preferred a more discrete approach and decided to only announce its new deal with Microsoft.

The new image of the E6-00 is solid proof that Nokia will continue to produce and launch Symbian devices on the market, in addition to the expected Windows Phone 7 smartphones that should be unveiled this year.

No additional details regarding the phone's specs sheet or release date have been disclosed at this time, but rumors suggest that the E6-00 might be officially introduced in Q2 2011.
