14 DAY TRIAL // Just as previously reported, mobile phone maker Nokia announced today the release of a new smartphone in its Eseries lineup, the Nokia E7, one of the first handsets from the company to run under the new Symbian^3 OS.
The new device is being added to an offering that already includes handsets like the previously announced Nokia N8, or the Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01 smartphones, both announced today at Nokia World 2010.
The new Nokia E7 is aimed mainly at business users out there, and it sports a sliding form factor, putting together a touchscreen display with a landscape QWERTY keyboard.
“With Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on board, the Nokia E7 provides direct, real-time and secure access to corporate email inboxes and other personal applications,” the company has to say about this device.
A 4-inch touchscreen display with Nokia ClearBlack technology is present on this beauty, complemented by "perfect shape and size" when it comes to working on documents, reviewing spreadsheets, or reading and editing slides.
On top of that, the new mobile phone comes with a series of business grade security solutions, so as to offer all that a business users needs, the phone manufacturer announced.
According to the leading mobile phone maker, the new Nokia E7 is expected to become available for purchase later during the ongoing year, while featuring a price tag of EUR 495, excluding taxes and subsidies.
“Today our fight back to smartphone leadership shifts into high gear,” Niklas Savander, Executive Vice President, Markets, Nokia, commented on the launch of these new Symbian^3-based mobile phones.
The company also notes that “the new devices, which are tightly integrated with enhanced Ovi services and apps, reinforce Nokia's vision of a mobile industry that is increasingly being defined by socially connected, location-based devices and experiences.”
These new Symbian smartphones are expected to deliver a new, improved Ovi Store experience to their users, and Nokia E7 is among them, it seems.
