Canadian carrier Bell has just added the affordable Nokia C2-01 feature-phone to its portfolio, which is now available for free with a new three-year contract.

Customers who wish to purchase the phone without any plan are required to pay $119.95 upfront. In addition, Bell customers can purchase the C2-01 for $94.95 with a new one-year contract or $69.95 with a two-year agreement.

Unveiled in November 2010, Nokia C2-01 is an affordable, stylish feature-phone that was equipped with features to entertain users on the go, including an FM radio and music player.

Although it does not feature the advanced capabilities of modern smartphones, Nokia C2-01 is geared towards youth and has an emphasis on music.

Aimed at those customers who consider price as the most important factor when purchasing a phone, the Nokia C2-01 provides users with the opportunity to enjoy all their favorite songs and videos while on the go.

One of the cheapest 3G phones in Nokia's lineup, the C2-01 features a candy bar form factor and runs on the classic Series 40 platform.

Furthermore, Nokia C2-01 comes with a rather small 2-inch TFT display with support for 262K colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

On the inside, the feature-phone packs 43 MB of internal memory, 64 MB of RAM, 128 MB ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

In addition, the phone sports an average 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities (QVGA@15fps).

Coincidence or not, Bell introduced the C2-01 at the same time that Rogers debuted the more advanced Nokia X7 smartphone.

However, while the Nokia X7 is aimed at Nokia Symbian fans looking for a business phone, the Nokia C2-01 is only a budget feature-phone that presumably offers more in terms of quality in comparison with other entry-level phones.
