Nokia 700, one of the latest smartphones that Nokia unveiled to the world with the Symbian operating system on board, is expected to arrive on shelves at wireless carrier T-Mobile UK before the end of this month.

The mobile phone was announced only a few weeks ago, with the new Symbian Belle operating system version on board, and has made an appearance on the floor at the IFA 2011 trade fair in Berlin, where Softpedia got some hands-on moments with it.

The handset started shipping not too long ago, and is expected to arrive on shelves in the UK unlocked starting with the next month.

At the moment, it can be seen listed on T-Mobile's coming soon page here, with a September release window attached to it, but with no info on the price tag it might sport (it will probably be released for free on specific monthly plans).

Those users in the UK who would like to be informed on the upcoming availability of the new device should head over to the carrier's website and register their interest on the handset.

The Nokia 700 was announced with a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a ClearBlack screen that can deliver an nHD (640 x 360 pixels) resolution, and with a fast 1GHz application processor inside, for increased performance when compared to the previous Symbian phones.

The mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with the ability to record videos in HD quality 720p resolution.

The new device also packs 2 GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot which enables users add up to 32GB of additional storage space into the mix.

Nokia also packed the smartphone with 3G connectivity, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Stereo FM radio, HTML browser, various games and applications, and with fast access to the Ovi Store, so that users could download and install more of them.
