Nokia and TELUS announced recently the Canadian availability of the Nokia 6165i mobile phone on TELUS' Instant Talk service, the first Nokia flip design handset available through TELUS.

Push To Talk is an innovative walkie-talkie functionality that enables users to connect with the simple push of a button to colleagues, friends and family, whether they are across the hall or across the country. Thanks to a dedicated PTT button, Instant Talk phones work just like walkie-talkies, eliminating the delays of regular phone dialing and voice mail, meaning clients communicate faster, saving both time and money.

The Nokia 6165i mobile phone is the first PTT phone from TELUS to offer advanced mobile IP technology for enhanced coverage and performance, and features Bluetooth technology for use as a wireless modem and with optional compatible Bluetooth capable hands-free accessories, a stylish and practical lightweight design, vibrantly-colored matte metallic finish, chrome accents and large display featuring over 260,000 colors. Coordinated themes, video ringtones, wallpapers and animations make it easy to customize the handset to suit personal styles. The Nokia 6165i mobile phone also has up to 14 MB of internal memory, and allows users to store as many as 500 entries with up to five phone numbers each in the phone book. Photos can also be attached to contacts.

The Nokia 6165i mobile phone is available exclusively at TELUS retail locations nationally for $79.99 with a three-year contract or $229.99 without a contract.
