A lot of changes will be made

No More Heroes was a game that really sparked a lot of the hardcore gamers' interest in the Nintendo Wii. It placed players in the shoes of Travis Touchdown, a character who needed to explore an open world on foot, or on his trusty motorcycle, in order to fight with the top ten assassins.

However, even though the game was marketed as an open world sandbox one, it didn't allow players to actually interact with their environment and with other objects around them. Some critics even went as far as calling the world of the title nothing more than a level selector for the usual player. Though, it seems that the situation is going to take a turn for the better, as Goichi Suda, the famous Japanese game designer, also known as Suda51, says that things will positively change with the sequel to this game.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle will be the second title in the series, and will take the adventures of Travis to new lengths. It is due to be host to a lot of changes in terms of gameplay, and, most importantly, in terms of how the gamers can interact with the environment around them. Suda revealed in an interview that the open world of this new game would be completely different. “Yeah, we'll once again manage to do what we want to do with realizing the open world, but expect big changes for No More Heroes 2's open world.”

This statement is sure to make quite a lot of fans of this franchise very happy. The first game managed to really use the controllers of the Nintendo Wii to the maximum and provided a really fun experience. Desperate Struggle will certainly bring out new adventures for Travis and, if Suda is to be believed, will introduce quite a lot of good modifications to this franchise.

Nevertheless, until early 2010, when the game is rumored to be launched, we still need to settle for the first No More Heroes and hope that the sequel will deliver a much higher quality.
