Video game publisher Nintendo has released a series of sales charts for the first nine months of this year, compiled from sources like Media Create in Japan, the NPD Group in the United States and Gfk International, showing that the biggest hits at the moment are Just Dance 2 and FIFA 12.

Just Dance 2 for the Nintendo Wii, which is a dancing simulation that is created by Ubisoft, has been the best sold title in the United States, with Pokemon White Version, for the Nintendo DS, and Gears of War 3 for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft following in second and third place.

When it comes to Europe the best sold video game of the year so far has been FIFA 12, the sports simulation from EA Sports, with the next four positions of the chart occupied by Wii Sports Resort, Pokemon White and Pokemon Black, all games for Nintendo devices.

In Japan the best sold title was Monster Hunter Portal 3rd with Tales of Xillia for the PS3 and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional occupying the rest of the podium.

With the three video game charts Nintendo set out to show that its big name video games are still selling very well all over the world, which also means that its home console and its line of portable devices are still being actively played by a big number of gamers.

Nintendo has announced worse than expected financial results for the first six months of its fiscal year and analysts are expecting even more back news when March 31 of 2012 rolls around and the company needs to show the market and gamers that its still relevant.

At the moment Nintendo is working on the Wii U home console, which will be launched during the summer of 2012, but no final specifications and no price have yet been announced.
