The virus is of no concern

The swine flu has devastated a lot of countries in its worldwide journey, but the starting point, which was in Mexico, has made a lot of companies fearful of traveling towards that country or to the south of the United States.

As you all know, one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), will be held in Los Angeles, which is a bit too close to Mexico for the comfort of some companies. Capcom Japan and a few other big publishers have announced that, due to the pandemic, they won't be sending their major representatives to Los Angeles next week.

But one company isn't afraid of the virus and has just announced that it will be sending its top men to E3: Nintendo. The Japanese corporation has just released a statement in which it comforts fans and reveals that its president, Satoru Iwata, and famous game designer Shigeru Miyamoto will be present at the conference.

“Nintendo has been carefully monitoring the situation worldwide and is taking appropriate steps to minimize health risks for everyone,” the company revealed. “As of now, Nintendo has no travel bans in place, but is instructing employees whose travel cannot wait to take precautions, such as wearing protective masks and washing their hands frequently. Video game fans can rest assured that Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will be presenting during the company's E3 Expo media briefing the morning of June 2, and that legendary Nintendo video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto will host a developer roundtable event later that day.”

Overall, it seems that not even the deadly swine flu can stop Nintendo in its pursuit to please fans and thus earn even more money. Hopefully the two men will bring exciting news during their press conferences.
