No worries from the ESA

In case you haven't been aware in the last few days, the Swine Flu is one of the world's most dangerous viruses and threatens to engulf the whole wide world in a pandemic. With the core of the outbreak around Mexico, slowly but surely the virus has spread around key points in almost every continent.

But even though the virus is getting more and more dangerous in the south of the United States, the E3 convention, which will take place in Los Angeles in June, will still be held. Although more stricter health and safety conditions will be implemented, the Entertainment Software Association, which will organize the event, isn't very worried.

“The 2009 E3 Expo is progressing as planned. Public health officials are taking all appropriate steps and we continue to follow their direction on all measures,” said ESA spokesman Dan Hewitt. “We look forward to a great event, and to seeing you in Los Angeles in June.”

This year’s E3 conference hopes to be one of the biggest gaming-related conventions in the world and return to the glamor for which it was known a few years back. After a not-so-successful revamp of the convention, in order to make it more appealing to video game developers and publishers, you can clearly see that the ESA won't let a deadly virus stand in its way to success and a lot of profit.

Hopefully E3 will be a great convention and nobody will be bothered by this dreadful virus that is currently affecting a lot of countries around the world. While the World Health Organization is busy fighting this new type of virus, look forward to more announcements about the E3 expo as time draws near to its beginning.
