Even if this is the last update of the year for Nintendo's WiiWare and DSiWare services, it isn't the weakest, as the Japanese company added a few new titles across the board, as well as classic NeoGeo ones to the Virtual Console section.

First off, the WiiWare service has received three new games, Chick Chick Boom, Around the World and Max & The Magic Marker.

Chick Chick Boom is a special type of puzzle game that tasks you with protecting your own area against an enemy by summoning things ranging from pianos or pink elephants to sumo chicks or giant jellyfish.

This game can be played with others and has multiple modes and arenas, all for 800 Wii Points.

Around the World is a pretty fun geography title, that aims at sharing with you special details about countries all over the world.

For 500 Wii Points, you can take part in a game-show of sorts, and answer questions on different themes concerning a country, from monuments to history, literature or sports.

Even if Max & The Magic Marker was released in full on the WiiWare at the beginning of the year, Nintendo is now offering a demo version, which shows off the most important parts of the game.

You will need to guide Max through this impressive platformer and use his magic marker to defeat enemies and fight against an evil monster.

While the demo is completely free, you can purchase the title for 1,000 Wii points.

The Virtual Console has also been updated this week with two classic NeoGeo titles: Fighter's History Dynamite and Magical Drop III.

Fighter's History Dynamic is a retro fighting game released back in 1994, and features 13 combatants that must defeat one another to win a special tournament.

Uncover powerful attacks, use a weak-spot system and unlock new characters from the original Fighter's History, all for 900 Wii Points.

Next up, there's Magical Drop III, which is a puzzle game from 1997 that tasks you with throwing balloons and grouping them together as fast as possible in order to clear a level.

The title has 16 playable characters and a special Magical Journey mode, which should be enough to warrant the 900 Wii Points price.

Nintendo also added three new titles to the DSiWare service, G.G Series Zone, DodoGo! Challenge and Fantasy Slots: Adventure Slots and Games.

First up, there's G.G Series Zone, a side-scrolling, space-themed shooter that requires split-second reactions from the player in order to overcome the challenging levels, all for 200 DSi Points.

DodoGo! Challenge is the sequel to the original DodoGo! and a special type of puzzle game that requires you to save endangered eggs in almost 100 dangerous levels filled with challenges and traps that must be avoided, all for 500 DSi Points.

Last but not least, if you won't be going to Las Vegas at the end of the year, you can download Fantasy Slots: Adventure Slots and Games for the Nintendo DSi, which offers a comprehensive slot machine experience for 500 DSi Points.
