Nimbuzz has just announced a number of over 50 million users registered to enjoy the benefits of their mobile offering.

During the past year, the community enjoyed impressive growth, with over 28 million new users joining Nimbuzz since July 2010.

The company also notes that they experienced growth at a rate of around 100,000 new users every day, which helped them more than double the user base in less than a year.

“In the near future we are aiming to leverage and improve our existing mobile social graph and add an entertainment layer to our existing proposition,” the company notes.

“By doing this we want to offer a richer user experience to all Nimbuzz users with access to social games, virtual goods and local daily deals.”

With over 50 million registered users worldwide, Nimbuzz offers one of the most popular applications for users to interact with their friends over social networking accounts.

3.7 billion voice minutes are being used per year, the company notes, adding that they already offer support for a number of over 5,000 handsets around the world.

“Our goal is to create a new experience for you so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. By doing this we hope to redefine the way users interact with their mobile social applications and pioneer a whole new app category.”

Another interesting piece of information that the company unveiled included the fact that the average Nimbuzz user has 203 entries in the contacts list.

At the moment, Nimbuzz is available for users of iOS, BlackBerry, Android, or Symbian mobile phones, as well as for other handsets (powered by Java).

A graph the company has just made available to illustrate the usage of the mobile application shows that Nokia users are those who take advantage of Nimbuzz the most.
