Starting tomorrow, April 7th, Canadian mobile phone users should have the possibility to purchase a new handset on the airwaves of TELUS, namely the Nexus S by Samsung.

We already knew that the device is set to make an appearance in the country, but no official info on the matter emerged until now.

However, it appears that TELUS has finally confirmed that it would have the new device available for its customers as soon as tomorrow, while also confirming info on the price tag the smartphone would feature.

Starting with April 7th, Canadians would have the possibility to purchase the new device for $179.99 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier, MobileSyrup notes in a recent article.

Moreover, the company would have the phone available for $499.99 on a one-year contract, priced at $449.99 on a two-year agreement, and available for $549.99 on a monthly rolling plan.

The Nexus S would be released on shelves with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and should be carrier unlocked, it seems.

The specifications list of this device is impressive enough, with a 1 GHz Hummingbird application processor packed inside, capable of offering great performance when paired with the Android 2.3 OS.

The new device would arrive on shelves with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, which should offer a 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

The mobile phone also comes with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, as well as with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, and support for 3G networks.

At the same time, we should note that it comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with Flash and HD video recording capabilities, NFC (Near Field Communication), GPS receiver, or a 1500 mAh battery.

More info on the arrival of Nexus S by Samsung in Canada at TELUS should become available very soon, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
