Nexus S by Samsung, the second Google phone in the world, and the first handset to arrive on shelves with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has just had its price tag cut on the Indian market. Apparently, the decision comes from Samsung themselves, and follows the recent introduction of their latest flagship Android device, the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The Nexus S is now available for purchase for only INR. 22,000 in the country, at least this is what Samsung and online retailers Flipkart and Letsbuy ask for it.

The new Galaxy S II comes to shelves with a 1.2GHz application processor, increased amount of storage space via microSD memory card, and with a larger toucshcreen, and it certainly seems more appealing to users than the Nexus S would do.

However, the Google phone is a great option for all those who would like to develop applications for Google's mobile platform.

It runs under the latest version of the mobile operating system, namely Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, and is being touted a developer device.

The mobile phone comes with a 1GHz application processor inside, complemented by 512 MB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory, without the possibility to increase the available storage.

On the front, the Nexus S sports a 4-inch touchscreen display, with a unique curvature to fit the human face, as well as a camera for video calling. On the back, there is a 5-megapixel photo snapper with support for HD video recording.

The specification list of the new device also includes NFC capabilities, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with GPS receiver for location-based applications, USB port, or a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Nesus S comes with support for a wide range of Google Mobile Services, including Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, or Gtalk, as well as with access to thousands of applications available for download via the Android Market.
