Best Buy, the exclusive retailer of Nexus S by Samsung on the United States market, has just announced that it plans on offering free overnight shipping to its customers ordering the device.

Nexus S by Samsung is the first mobile phone that arrives on the market with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the exclusive launch of Nexus S for our online customers than to offer free overnight shipping,” said Andy Heddle, head of online and direct sales for Best Buy Mobile.

“People can check out the phone for themselves in our stores and then order the phone online right there at the store if need be or from the comfort of their home or office. Our aim is to make sure as many people as possible can get Nexus S in the quickest and easiest way”.

The Nexus S is available for purchase on the United States market free of contract at Best Buy, with a price tag of $529 attached to it.

However, users can purchase it with a contract agreement too, on the airwaves of T-Mobile USA, but only from Best Buy. The contract price was set at $199.

According to Google, the Nexus S would be the most advanced smartphone on the market today.

In addition to the new Android 2.3 OS, it comes with a 4-inch Contour Display touchscreen, as well as with a powerful 1GHz application processor, with 16GB of internal memory, and with support for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

The Internet browsing capabilities of Nexus S are leveraged as well, courtesy of Flash and HTML5 technology. The phone also comes with support for 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, and other capabilities more.

Today, the mobile phone is being released on the market in the United States. It should become available for purchase on the UK market come December 20th, followed by other countries soon.
