We already know that Sony is about to announce the NEX-6/7 successor in the coming weeks, but it seems that the Nippon manufacturer will not wait until CP+ 2014 opens its doors to the public and will introduce the A7000 in a press conference on February 12, at 5-6AM GMT.

According to SonyAlphaRumors, various trusted sources have confirmed this event on the aforementioned date and time and it seems that it will only be dedicated to the launch of new interchangeable lens cameras.

Besides the upcoming MILC, Sony will also reveal the APS-C A77 successor as well as a new full-frame A-mount digital SLR camera with 4K video shooting capabilities at a new press event later in spring.

Sony A7000 will come with a better BIONZ image processor, faster AF, fps, and EVF, and it's expected to hit market shelves at a price of around €800 / $1,100.
