Along with some pricing details

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the first Android-based mobile phone the Japanese-Swedish joint-venture is set to deliver to the market. The handset has been already announced officially, yet not details on when it will land on the market were unveiled, nor on the price tag it might come around with. However, some details on this regard emerged recently, along with a new series of images with the device.

The new XPERIA X10 gallery comes from the guys over at Planete Nokia, and we should say that it is a rather extensive one. According to them, the phone in itself is a very attractive piece of hardware, and the software solution thrown over the Android OS, the so-called Rachael UI, or Nexus UX, leverages its appeal even more. The handset boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor, a 4-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, and an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus.

These are only some of the features the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is expected to come to the market with, but one might also think about the price tag it will sport when available (which, according to the latest reports, will happen in February next year). According to a recent post on WSJ, the X10 should cost around 6,000 Swedish kronor ($879) when launched, which is a quite hefty price, one should agree.

Most of you might be already accustomed with the handset vendor launching very attractive mobile phones at leveraged price tags, yet androidcentral says that things might be a little different with the Android-based handset. The mobile phone maker is reportedly in search of a carrier to deliver its devices to the US market, which, if real, might result in a subsidized price for XPERIA X10. However, the $879 off-contract price for X10 won't result in a $200 on-contract cost for sure.

Until more details on a possible subsidized price for XPERIA X10 emerge (and on the carrier that might deliver the phone to the US market), you should take a look at the new photos with the phone. The entire gallery is available over at dailymobile.se, which got it from planete-nokia.
