14 DAY TRIAL // June 30 marks the day when the third installment of the insanely popular “Twilight” franchise arrives in theaters in most territories. “Eclipse” will be, according to Summit Entertainment and the cast, bigger and better than both previous films put together, both in terms of story and of investments made in it. The recently released posters are clearly a reflection of that.
Following some buzz on the Internet among fans that the first movie and character posters for “Eclipse” were not really all that special since they were too similar to those for “Twilight” and “New Moon” and lacked some of the turmoil we’re to see on the big screen, Summit has just upped the ante. The brand-new posters are darker and more retouched – and infinitely cooler because of it, fans are saying on dedicated communities.
“This might just be one of our favorite posters that have been released yet! Summit has released a series of posters including the Volturi, Xavier Samuel (plays newborn Riley) and of course one with Jacob, Bella and Edward. The newest poster release is of the entire Cullen family. They all look amazing! Robert Pattinson looks…there are no words to describe it. Love it!” Twilight Scoop writes.
Just So You Know is equally psyched about the new arrivals, saying they more than succeed in keeping fans’ interest in the upcoming film at maximum levels. “We’re also super excited to finally see a close-up of Bella, Edward and Jacob. The shot shows the trio against a cloudy background, and from this particular angle, it makes fans feel like they’re looking up to the three characters. Bella looks like a classic beauty, and Edward remains stern. We’re happy to see Jacob’s hard brow lighten up a bit in this banner, too. His last three posters showed him with an all-too grumpy stare,” the aforementioned e-zine reads.
All in all, fans are happy about the surprise Summit had in store for them at the end of this week. As also noted above, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” arrives in theaters on June 30, 2010. Until then, below are the new posters. Enjoy.
