A new trailer for “Shame” has just been released. Even with an NC-17 rating from the MPAA, the movie studio is pushing this film for the awards season and, by the looks of the new clip, it's with good reason.

Last time we spoke about “Shame,” it was on the occasion of the release of the first trailer. “Shame” is the story of a sex addict played by Michael Fassbender. Carey Mulligan plays his sister.

Whereas the first trailer showed more of Brandon (the leading man)'s addiction, the new one suggests just what a devastating experience the film will be.

Mulligan, possessing an excellent set of pipes, sings the loneliest, saddest version of the usually chirpy “New York, New York.”

Interposed are scenes of Brandon's lonely nights as a predator and the result is bound to break your heart.

“Shame” arrives in US theaters on December 2. If you're over 17, make sure you don't miss it.
