“Shame” is not a film about love or about intimacy or about any other heartwarming connection you might imagine two human beings can develop. “Shame” is Michael Fassbender’s show, a story about a corrupt, perverted individual.

Directed by Steve McQueen, the film tells the story of Brandon. His life is so neatly organized and constructed that one would hardly imagine he’s actually a sex addict, an addiction he feeds as often as possible.

His encounters are all purely physical, so there’s no romanticizing them – which is what the trailer strives to not do.

Brandon sees his entire life turned upside down when his sister Sissy (Carey Mulligan) comes to stay with him for an indefinite period and all his dark secrets come seeping out into the open.

“Shame” is out in the US on December 2 and is already getting wonderful reviews from the critics’ community. Please note that *some discretion is recommended when watching the trailer above.
