The new Samsung Betty Boop mobile phone that has recently emerged into the wild is yet another handset that the Korean mobile phone maker unleashes to the market while targeting children. We've already seen the Samsung Tobi, which was also aimed at kids, and the new Betty Boop is not too much of a surprise.

The new Samsung mobile phone comes as a limited-edition handset that has been launched in France on the airwaves of Bouygues Telecom. The new Samsung Betty Boop presents itself as a sliding handset that sports rather basic features while including the signature and look of the famous animated character.

The new Samsung Betty Boop might indeed prove to be a great option for little girls, especially given the fact that the phone maker included in the box a Betty Boop pouch, as well as some other accessories that are also related to the animated character.

What the new handset has to offer in terms of capabilities is connectivity with GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequency standards, as well as a display able to provide support for 65K colors, a VGA photo snapper, MMS capabilities, and some multimedia features, including MP3 music player and FM Radio. At the same time, the new handset also sports a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

The new Samsung Betty Boop also includes a 500mAh battery, which should be able to provide up to 3 hours of talk time, as well as up to 192 hours of standby time. The handset measures 87x44.5x18 mm and weighs 70g, and it is already available for purchase on Bouygues Telecom's official website. The phone has a price tag of €129, yet the carrier also offers it for €1 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement.
