Michael Fassbender offers a better look at robots of the future imagined by Ridley Scott

There's no longer any doubt that the marketing behind the upcoming “Prometheus” (billed a prequel of sorts to the “Alien” franchise) is nothing short of genius. Above is a new viral video of David-8, the android played by Michael Fassbender.

Made by Weyland Industries, David is just as creepy as he is brilliantly conceived.

He can interact with humans like a regular person (read: human), do all kinds of tasks and chores, and even replace man in certain situations where a breach of ethics would prevent him from completing the mission.

Because people find it easier to interact with droids if they imagine them in possession of a heart, David-8 can also emote even though he feels absolutely nothing.

No use pointing out – but we'll do it either way – but when tears stream down David's face, it's one of the saddest and most awesome moments in the clip.

Check it out. “Prometheus” will be out on June 8.
