Both Black Label handsets

One of the newest cell phones that surfaced again into the wild is the LG BL40, the new flavor of South Korean mobile phone maker's popular Chocolate, and the fourth device in the company's Black Label series. This time around, however, it seems that the phone hasn't been caught on camera alone, but together with another LG device that sports a similar style as the BL40.

For those who are meeting the new device for the first time, we should note something that can be seen in the photos as well, namely the fact that the new LG Chocolate BL40 comes to the market in an extra-long form factor, resembling a chocolate bar a lot, hence the name, most probably, as well as with the company's S-Class user interface.

In addition, the upcoming device is also expected to sport a QVGA screen, with a 800 x 345 pixel resolution and support for 65K colors, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper that features Schneider Kreuznach optics, not to mention Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G capabilities and an FM transmitter. It also brings 335MB of free onboard storage, which is supposedly coupled with a microSD memory card slot that has been suggested to support a huge amount of additional storage space.

Interestingly enough, the handset has been spotted in the wild along with another mobile phone coming from LG, with about the same form factor, and which is reportedly the LG BL42. While also being a Black Label device, it is rather uncertain whether the second handset will also sport the Chocolate moniker, though there are great chances it might.

As for what it will be able to offer users, we can count a sliding form factor, light-up nav buttons, a display that boasts a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, and probably the same 5-megapixel photo snapper as the older brother. No further specs are available, nor are details on when the phone might land on the market, yet more should surface in the near future.
